Neon Genesis Evangelion

This is one of my favorite Anime series, well it's one of the only ones I like really. I have it on DVD and have watched the entire thing, plus the movies. What are your thoughts on this series? I found it rather bizarre most of the time but it has lots of humor, serious moments and the storyline is pretty unique and interesting. The characters are odd but some of them are rather awesome. My favorites would be Misato and Rei. Misato is outgoing and doesn't have manners, she's funny while Rei is always serious and very mysterious.

Anyway, opinions!
